PharmAus24 will present innovation and research from across the global pharmaceutical industry, highlighting the importance of the industry to patients and to communities, delivering for the economy and boosting productivity.
This year’s theme, Accelerating patient access to new medicines, highlights the urgent need for bold HTA reform so Australians have faster and more equitable access to medicines that have already been approved for use in Australia.
The Minister for Health and Aged Care, Mark Butler, and Shadow Minister for Health, Senator Anne Ruston, will deliver addresses and Medicines Australia will launch a report progressing priority HTA reform actions.
This year’s showcase will feature many of the world’s most innovative pharmaceutical companies, offering you an opportunity to engage with those at the forefront of research, clinical trials, technology, medicines, vaccines and advanced technologies including precision medicine, cell and gene therapies and diagnostics.
Recognising the essential role of patient advocacy groups in working with the industry for improved outcomes for patients, some of Australia’s leading patient groups will also participate in this year’s showcase. Displays will include skin checks, interactive data, and valuable insights.
More than 300 guests are expected to attend including patient advocacy groups, government, industry, other health peak bodies and academia.
